After just three races, VCARS-sponsored driver Tom Sharp leads the Ginetta GT Supercup standings by 30 points. See if he can continue his impressive start to the season at Donington Park this weekend by catching the action live on ITV4!
After winning a trio of races at Brands Hatch two weeks ago, VCARS driver Tom Sharp will be looking to maintain his winning streak when the Ginetta GT Supercup lands at Donington Park. The race will be covered on ITV4 on Sunday between 11am and 6pm as part of their live broadcast from the Derbyshire circuit.
On his early seasons success, Sharpe confirmed: “We’re already 30 points ahead in the standings and this weekend we want to extend that lead and hopefully make it six wins out of six. We ran well in the 2011 season – finishing third – and the opening rounds have shown IDL and Vcars.co.uk are on the pace. We have a good chance of lifting the crown this year.”
Sitting behind Sharp in the standings, hotrod legend Colin White (CWS) will be looking to extend the gap between himself and Caterham R300 Champion Jamie Orton (Fauldsport), after a podium spot each during the opening rounds allowed them to bring home 68 and 53 points respectively. In the middle of the pack, only eight points separate fourth-placed Tom Ingram (JHR) from Fergus Walkinshaw -5th- (Century), Andrew Richardson -6th- (Richardson Racing) Carl Breeze -7th-(Tollbar Racing with WIRED) and eighth-placed Hunter Abbott (Century).
