A new service which allows motorists to compare the pressure of their vehicle’s tyres against the standard measure has been launched.
TyreSafe and Experian have joined forces at the former’s website and, once they have typed in their registration number, motorists can see how firm their front and rear wheels should be.
As an incentive, the coalition havs announced details of a prize draw drivers can enter once they log into the site, which could see them win an Apple Ipod Nano.
But it may be the potentially life-saving tyre assessment that users are truly thankful for.
"The free pressure check facility is being provided to motorists in the run up to, and including, tyre safety month which runs throughout the month of October," commented TyreSafe.
In October 2007, TyreSafe will coordinate its first tyre safety month, in order to raise awareness of the importance of checking the condition the vehicle component.
