MPH to showcase world’s fastest cars

This year’s MPH fast car showcase will display the world’s speediest supercars.

Fast car enthusiasts will be able to get an eyeful of models like the Ferrari Enzo, Pagano Zonda and Lamborghini Murcielago at the event, which will come to London’s Earl’s Court and the Birmingham NEC in November 2007.

Jeremy Clarkson, star of the BBC’s Top Gear car show, will host the exhibitions and show off the £1 billion-plus worth of machinery assembled at the sites.

Lee Masters, director of the show, stated that the number of vehicles was tantamount to the "golden age" of supercars we are living in.

"All of the new money that has washed into Europe from all over the world means the demand is higher than ever. New 200mph-plus machines are being launched with a regularity we wouldn’t have dreamed of 20 years ago," he said.

Launched two decades ago, the Ferrari F40 is widely considered the world’s first supercar.
