The 79th Geneva Motor Show is a sellout among manufacturers, suggesting the interest in the car industry remains strong regardless of the global economic situation.
The event – to be held between March 5th and 15th – will see all the top manufacturers presenting their latest models and should give the industry an idea of what the big trends of 2009 are likely to be.
Major brands such as Alfa Romeo, BMW and Mercedes will all be present at the show, while dealers of used Mercedes, used BMWs and other vehicles will be able to spot what current and new models are likely to become big sellers in the used car market.
Among the big draws of this year’s event are exhibits devoted to ecological and economical developments in the motor industry.
These are expected to be of growing interest as the car industry looks to develop further into the area of green technology.
The Geneva Motor Show is regarded as one of the five "Majors" of the car manufacturing world and is the only European motor show to take place every year.
