Vauxhall goes historic

Vauxhall has announced plans to back owners of classic cars later this year.

A special event will be held at the Vauxhall Heritage Centre on April 20th for anyone with an old or interesting vehicle.

The move is part of the motor manufacturer’s support for classic cars and the campaign to ensure they can still be used on Britain’s roads.

The Vauxhall Heritage Centre is home to 50 of the company’s most historic models including the 1903 5hp and the Monaro VXR 500.

The centre in Luton is not normally open to the public, but Vauxhall is making a special exemption for Drive it Day.

Visitors will be treated to free refreshments as well as a chance to mingle with fellow enthusiasts.
