Skoda unveils Fabia Scout in homeland

Skoda has shown off its Fabia Scout design concept vehicle in the company’s home country of the Czech Republic.

From October 2nd to October 7th 2007, the firm will be exhibiting the car in front of Rudolfinum on Jan Palach Square.

A number of intuitive features can be found in the Scout, including pop-out hooks to hold shopping bags, pop-out bench and a boot roller-cover.

However, this is not Europe’s first exposure to the model, as the company commented that it received "positive reactions" from punters and industry experts at last month’s Frankfurt’s International Motor Show.

"The brand new vehicle is a standard estate with visual off-road features. Just like with the Roomster Scout and Octavia Scout, the design of the new car will include model-specific accessories and equipment items," said Skoda.

Skoda’s Octavia Scout is available now with a 2.0 FSI petrol or 2.0TDi diesel engine.
