The new MG TF sports car made its first public appearance at the International Race meeting at Silverstone at the weekend and reportedly wowed the crowds.
MG cars have gathered at Silverstone for the car club celebration for 57 years and the TF took centre stage this year, although celebrations of over 80 years of the marque’s history also took place.
The car will go into production later this year and will be a “truly desirable proposition”, according to MG, with a number of innovations in style and engineering.
Gary Hagen, UK sales and marketing director for NAC MG, commented: “The public response to the new TF has been fantastic.
“This car represents a fresh new addition to the UK sports car market and judging by the reaction at Silverstone over the weekend this car looks set to enjoy healthy sales success here in the UK.”
According to Mr Hagen, the manufacturer’s goal in creating the TF was to make a car that offers performance, fun, reliability and value for money.
