Car manufacturer Kia has launched a new site which will enable motorists to purchase accessories online and view the sleek new look of their cars.
The "Design My Kia" arm from the manufacturer will allow consumers to design their desired vehicle in exactly the manner they choose.
With the initiative set to be offered in cooperation with showrooms around the country, the online accessory is available for almost the entire Kia range, with the Carens and the 2005 Sorento and Sedona also being rolled out on the site during May.
Consumers can choose from four different sections to piece together their composite car, including a ‘style and protection’ feature, which incorporates alloy wheels, side trims and headlamp protectors.
Among others, the ‘essentials’ part of the site will allow the online browser to view carpet mats, first aid kits and road safety bags.
Emma Horne, after-sales marketing manager for Kia, said that some nine in ten Kia customers initiated a purchase of a car by searching online.
