Seat outlines future design plans with the Tribu

The "dramatic" Tribu concept from Seat has been described by the company as the biggest surprise of the 2007 Frankfurt International Motor Show.

A compact SUV dynamic in appearance, the model was designed by a team headed by Luc Donckerwolke – his first since he arrived from Lamborghini.

Seat has stated that the car is significant as it ushers in the next generation of Seat models.

The Tribu is on display in Hall 3 at the Frankfurt International Motor Show and can be seen until September 23rd 2007.

"Elements of current Seat aesthetics, such as a dynamic line on each flank and a bold grille, sustain the brand’s clear identity. However, aside from these trademarks, everything else is different," said the company.

Also at the exhibition, the automaker displayed the Ibiza Ecomotive vehicle – its lowest-emitting car which will see motorists driving it in London escape the congestion charge.
