Maserati Quattroportes on their way to UK

Luxury Italian carmaker Maserati has announced that the first 70 Quattroporte Automatic models have left Modena and are on their way to markets across Europe.

The car will officially go on sale in the UK on February 14th 2007.

Dealerships in Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Belgium will be the first to take delivery of the cars.

Maserati’s Quattroporte Automatic was given pride of place at Modena’s military academy, one week from its presentation at the Detroit motor show, the automaker explained.

The fleet of vehicles was given a grand send-off – making its way through the streets of Modena to the Piazza Grande, where chief executive Roberto Ronchi handed over their keys to representatives from dealerships across Europe.

Maserati was founded in Bologna, Italy, in 1914 and has since become one of the best-known and most respected luxury and sports car manufacturers in Europe.

The automaker states that its heritage is now reflected in the values that are incorporated into the brand, partly through innovation in the use of human resources and the working environment and transparency in customer relations.
