Originally a premium sub-brand of Citroen, DS has been a standalone brand since 2014. Groupe PSA made up of Citroen, Peugeot and briefly Talbot introduced DS as a premium brand inline with the success of other manufacturers like Lexus and Infiniti. The first DS model was launched early 2010 based heavily on previous Citroen models. Although the DS will sit alongside other PSA models, the Manufacturer will differentiate itself from Citroen through it’s choice of manufacturing and engineering specification. All used DS on the AA Cars website come with free 12 months breakdown cover.
Rating 1 DS ReviewsTop Gear Magazine Car of the Year in 2010, the Citroen DS3 with it’s customisable roof colour was an instant success and the supermini continued to sell well throughout Europe over the following 3 years. The DS4, also available in 2010 won awards for it’s design. With it’s interior design inspired by aeroplane cockpits, the Citroen DS5 compact executive launched in 2011 was relaunched in 2015 with the DS badge. After a short break launching new models in Europe the DS7 Crossback was unveiled in February 2017. This SUV has helped improve sales as DS focused on comfort, high quality and technology to compete with other premium car manufacturers.
