Vauxhall’s range of ecoFLEX vehicles which can be found in models including the Vauxhall Corsa and Vauxhall Astra, has picked up an award from Fleet World.
The leading fleet publication opted to give Vauxhall its Environmental Award for its advanced range of green technology engines.
To help boost the environmental impact of the vehicles, Vauxhall has made it a primary objective to reduce the fuel consumption of its vehicles and generate fewer carbon dioxide emissions.
Fleet World editor Ken Rogers said: "The Astra ecoFLEX, for example, directly addresses the needs of fleet buyers in a very high-volume sector.
"Its 1.7 litre turbo-diesel engine produces CO2 emissions of just 119g/km and delivers fuel consumption of 62.8 miles per gallon on the combined cycle."
He added that the Vauxhall Corsa and Insignia ecoFLEX models are equally as impressive in terms of their CO2 emissions in their market segments.
Motorists interested in buying a Vauxhall Astra have a wide choice of colours in which to purchase the vehicle including Green Spirit, Power Red and Olympic White.
