Very reliable car for the city life I lead with the occasional motorway journey. Boring in some ways but oh so reliable !

Legendary Honda reliability and stunning performance from the Type R. Can be a little jarring on country roads but always feels safe. Good acceleration is useful for avoiding the 'Sunday driver' brigade as it provides more options than simply braking. Not a car for the driver who simply wants to get from A to B - the driving is the key to enjoying this car. Lots of extras, too - dual zone climate control, all round air bags, deadlocks, trip computer. Also, a fantastic exhaust note in the upper rev range. Combined with a truly great local dealership, my next car just has to be a Honda.

Overall of this car is superb as had it since new and it has been very reliable but could do with a bit more power specially if laden with weight (4 passengers & driver and luggage) Only problem i had was indicator stalk needed replacement and front wishbones due to excessive ramps where i live. Normal wear and tear like tyres, brakes and service prices is reasonably good to local garage. Even though it is very spacious and can rake 5 adults without being squeezed as flat floor plan at back but can get a touch uncomfortable on long journeys. Leather seats might be better.

A comfortable, practical car for my retirement

The car is great, space performance and reliability are to be commented. My wife wants a rear windscreen wiper but I don't understand why!

Very economical car to run e.g. 60+ mpg, £20 tax and insurance for under £200. Plenty of boot space and folding back seats very handy. Performance is not to be sneered at with 150 bhp on tap and 0 to 60 in around 8.5 seconds. If I were to pick a fault it would be the seats, they are not as comfortable as other cars in the same price range.

Very nice drive feeling of security/safety my only criticism honda do not make a diesel automatic parts very pricey.

I am very pleased with the Honda Civic as a family car. The fuel consumption is somewhat disappointing, but then I do not do sufficient miles for that to be significant. The rear seats fold up and give a very practical space for wheelchairs to pet cages or luggage. By dropping the rear seat the car provides excellent space for bulky or long items to be transported. The dash board is well designed and provides easy view of controls and information. I would be pleased to buy another Civic.

I have had this car for 7 years and have been pleasantly surprised as it has always met my needs for reliability, performance and practicality.

I have had a Honda civic since 2005 ( new model )and have been more than pleased with them. In fact just over 18 months ago we were involved in a collision with another vehicle at over 40mph and due to the safety features, the build of the car we are still here to tell the story. The car was in fact a write off. Another Civic for me in 2004

Nearly fast enough (0 - 60 in 10 seconds) Ludicrously cheap to run. (40+ mpg, low tax, low insurance and no repair bills) Comfortable and utterly reliable even after 15 years. Shame I can't get a new one of these.

It has never let me down or cost anything for major repairs. Some rust is now appearing round the rear nearside wheel arch. It is slightly noisier than I would like, and could do with better visibility, it is difficult to judge front and rear.

I like most things about my Honda. It's a neat little car; a bit racy too, but I've always felt safe and in control when driving it. So far(fingers crossed) it's not let me down. The only niggle I have is that a warning light is triggered if I don't screw the petrol cap on tightly enough after re-fuelling. From what I've read, these lights can be set off by all kinds of minor problems but could create easily panic.

Good reliable car. Good mpg on motorway but lower used locally. Honda Jazz good all round car and cheaper to run.

Best car i have ever had,very reliable & very little maintenance.I purchased it in 1998.

NOW 13 YEARS OLD, BODY MINT,LEATHER INTERIOR VERY GOOD CONDITION STILL,STARTS FIRST TIME,VTEC ENGINE UNBURSTABLE,FAIRLY HEAVY ON FUEL BY MODERN STANDARDS 30 URBAN 36 ON A RUN. ITS NOW GETTING TIRED AND A BIT NOISY BUT AN EXAMPLE OF HOW GOOD A CAR HONDA CAN BUILD. WOULD BUY SAME AGAIN WITH BETTER MPG IF POSSIBLE BEST ,CAR I HAVE HAD.

The best car I ever owned. It drives great and gives you the feeling of being in total control with total safety.
