The Nissan Navara has been commended by 4×4 Magazine, which said that it is undeniably superior to its competitors.
At the publication’s 2007 awards, the Navara was voted the pick-up of the year for the second year running.
It triumphed over stiff competition in the form of nine other popular 4x4s, including the Mitsubishi L200 and the Toyota Hilux.
John Carroll, editor of 4×4, said: "The Navara is simply the best.
"The reasons are simple: Nissan’s Navara provides the best combination of working truck practicality with everyday driving involvement. A strong, torquey turbodiesel, bold but not outlandish styling and a comfy interior scored higher than its rivals can match."
According to Nissan, the Navara was the best-selling 4×4 pick-up in Europe in 2006.
The manufacturer offers a range of 4x4s, including the Pathfinder, the Patrol and the X-Trail.
