Ferrari going for world record at Silverstone

Ferrari GB will be attempting to break the world record for the longest parade of Ferraris at Silverstone in June.

The effort will be part of the Ferrari Racing Days event, taking place from June 8th-10th at the racetrack.

Owners of various models made by the classic Italian brand will come from all over the UK to be part of the convoy. Those lucky enough to have a Maranello, Fiorano or any other model in their garage can contact Ferrari GB to register their interest in taking part.

In addition to the record attempt, the event will also feature the UK round of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli.

This will see over 60 equally matched Ferrari F430 Challenge vehicles racing on one of the fastest circuits on the Formula One roster. Making a special appearance will be the "ultra-exclusive" FXX model.

Ferrari Racing Days is the UK focus of the marque’s 60th anniversary celebrations and will involve the Shell Historic Championship.

In this event classic road and race Ferraris will compete in three different categories, a contest that is designed to "relive the golden era of motorsport".
