In news which will have a big impact on the used car market, it has been revealed that Brits’ appetite for downsizing with their choice of car shows no sign of disappearing.
SaveMoneyOnCars.co.uk has released data showing exactly what the websites visitors have been looking for over the last 30 days.
Tellingly, the Ford Focus, which for the last year held its position as the top search on the website, was last month usurped by the smaller Ford Fiesta.
Other petite cars are faring well in the top ten most popular searches, proving that during a time of big economic troubles ‘small is beautiful’.
The Vauxhall Corsa is the third most popular search, Volkswagen Golf fourth, Renault Clio fifth and Ford Ka eighth.
The statistics echo the findings of recent data released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders which revealed that the small car sector was the only one to grow in September.
In the current climate it comes as no surprise to see a trend towards more frugal and economically viable vehicles," said Lee Sibbald of SaveMoneyOnCars.co.uk.
