The managing director of Jaguar Cars has the reassuring message that the new Jaguar XKR and XFR cars fulfill the company philosophy of being both "fast and beautiful".
It is a concept that used Jaguar dealers are familiar with and Mike O’Driscoll is confident that the new machines carry on the firm tradition.
He said: "We’ve started 2009 with the introduction of advanced new generation petrol and diesel engines that set new benchmarks in terms of performance, economy and efficiency. Our cars meet the challenges of the modern world and the needs of today’s consumers."
The new models are available in late March with the pricing of the new XF range starting at £32,900 for the 3.0-litre petrol version.
The 3.0-litre diesel model is only a little pricier at £33,900 while the new 3.0-litre Diesel S will retail at £36,900. At the top of the range the XFR has a price tag of £59,900.
The XF will be a hard act to follow for the XFR as it has already scooped Car of the Year prizes from two major UK automotive magazines.
