Young drivers ‘choose Peugeot 207’

Although they may not be old enough for the real thing, young motorists at Alton Towers Peugeot 207 Driving School have voted it to be their favourite ride at the theme park.

Research conducted by staff found that it was given a popularity rating of 9.5 points out of ten by visitors, making it the most loved children’s ride at the Staffordshire site.

Aimed at those under ten years old, the ride includes a pre-drive safety briefing followed by a session behind the wheel of a battery-powered Peugeot 207.

And that is not all; one-third of the youngsters surveyed said the Bubble Car Wash was their favourite part of the experience.

"Visitors to this ride are Peugeot drivers of the future and we think it’s important to give as many children as possible the opportunity to experience driving situations at an early age," said Andrew Didlick, director of public relations for the manufacturing company.

The real Peugeot 207 starts at £8,995 and was first launched as a supermini in 2006.
