How does breakdown cover support electric and hybrid vehicles?
Our breakdown cover includes EV and hybrid vehicles as standard. We’ll send one of our EV-trained expert patrols to fix the problem, whether it’s a flat battery, a punctured tyre or any other problem. If our EV-trained patrol can’t fix your car by the roadside, they’ll take your electric vehicle to a local garage for further repairs.
What types of electric car breakdown cover are there?
It's important to compare levels of cover and choose the best EV breakdown cover for you. At The AA, there are four types of breakdown cover policies you can choose for your electric vehicle, allowing you to select the best type of cover for your specific driving needs. We cover any eligible non-commercial vehicle as standard, including cars, vans, motorbikes and electric vehicles (EVs).
