Renault introduces new five-door Clio

Renault has introduced a new five-door model to its Clio Campus range, saying that the launch is in response to continuing customer demand.

Interest from British buyers in the Clio range is "showing no signs of slowing down", according to Renault, with over 17,600 Campus three-door versions sold last year.

This popularity has prompted the manufacturer to add the five-door variant to the Campus line and also update the vehicle range with a face-lift.

The Campus five-door is available with a choice of two engines, with or without air conditioning – a 1.2 8V 60 or a dCi 68. Manual air conditioning is an optional extra at a price of £525.

Among the standard features appearing in the car is a remote central locking system, double optic headlamps, a multi-function trip computer and electric front windows.

The model, which represents the reintroduction of an entry-level five-door car to the Campus range, will also benefit from a low insurance grouping.
