Gadgets galore in the new Grande Punto

The latest model in the Fiat Grande Punto range of cars is a comprehensive vehicle with cutting-edge gadgets and advanced engine technology.

A major new addition to the popular range, the Fiat Grande Punto 1.4 T-Jet 120 Sporting Grande comes with a new T-Jet turbocharged petrol engine that offers 120 bhp of power and 152 lb ft of torque, coupled with relatively low fuel consumption (42.8 mpg on the combined cycle) and emissions (155g/km CO2).

The Italian car manufacturer has announced that the comfortable four-seater sports model of the popular brand comes with six speakers, a Blaupunkt RDS audio player with AM/FM/LW radio and a CD player that reads mp3s, and steering wheel-mounted remote audio controls. It is fitted with Fiat’s Blue & Me innovative voice-activated music and communications system, developed in conjunction with Microsoft.

Other top features of the 1.4 T-Jet 120 Sporting Grande include air conditioning, 17-inch alloy wheels, sports seats, a leather steering wheel and gearstick, chrome tailpipe, spoiler and sideskirts and ESP.

The new Punto Grande includes a range of safety features, such as four-wheel ABS, electronic traction control and engine management, four disc brakes including two ventilated discs, immobiliser, six airbags, height adjustable head restraints on front seats and rear seats, stability control and electronic brake distribution.

Available in both three and five-door versions from £11,995, the Grande Punto 1.4 T-Jet 120 is the latest addition to the 25-strong Grande Punto range, which has sold over than 58,000 units in the UK since it was introduced in 2006.
