The stock of Italian automobile manufacturer Lamborghini is continuing to rise in the UK, the company has claimed.
According to figures released from the firm, there was an increase of close to 40 per cent in sales to UK motorists.
It added that this growth was matched in the total European market, where a total of 959 vehicles were sold by the sports car company in 2007.
Stephen Winkelmann, president and chief executive of Automobili Lamborghini SpA, commented that the period marks "an exceptional year".
He said: "This success is the direct result of increased brand awareness and brand image, as well as the increase in our dealer network and overall product strategy."
Lamborghini was established in 1963 by Ferruccio Lamborghini and is a subsidiary of German manufacturer Volkswagen.
Among the most famous vehicles developed by the firm is the Lamborghini Diablo, which was in production from 1990 to 2001.
