Meet Luke Bosdet

Luke’s background
Luke joined The AA in 1992, moving to the AA Motoring Trust in 2005 before returning to The AA in 2007.
With more than 30 years' experience in motoring policy, Luke is The AA's leading expert on road fuel prices. He monitors and analyses petrol and diesel prices across the UK, tracking changes at the pump, wholesale costs, regional variations and the factors affecting what drivers pay to fill up.
Luke’s goal
Luke has played a longstanding role in The AA's work to improve transparency and competition in the road fuel market, regularly challenging pricing practices that disadvantage drivers and highlighting where falls in wholesale costs are not being reflected quickly enough at the pump.
His expertise covers fuel duty and taxation, supermarket and independent forecourt pricing, motorway fuel premiums and the wider impact of fuel prices on household and business costs.
Luke's analysis and commentary regularly inform The AA's public policy and campaigning work and he is frequently quoted in national and regional media on developments in the UK fuel market.
