Jack holds a BA (Hons) in History from The Open University and has been part of award-winning AA campaigns focused on improving road safety and tackling the dangers of smart motorways. These campaigns received recognition from both the PRCA and PR Week Awards for automotive campaigning.
Jack’s goal
As Head of Roads Policy, Jack works across every area of The AA business while also using insight and feedback from members to shape national motoring campaigns. His role focuses on making Britain’s driving life better through policy engagement, research and campaigning. “My job means I get to engage with anything a driver may see, touch, hear, question, detest and dream of. From road taxation to autonomous cars, parking to MOTs, my job is to put AA members at the heart of government decision making.
Jack regularly engages with politicians and policymakers across all levels of government throughout the UK to ensure motorists’ concerns are heard. He also sits on the FIA Region 1 Co-ordination Group for the FIA Euroboard.
Jack has played a leading role in several major AA initiatives and campaigns, including:
- Creating The AA EV Recharge Report, which tracks on-the-road EV charging prices
- Co-creating The AA EV Readiness Index, monitoring how prepared the UK is for mass EV adoption
- Successfully campaigning for record levels of pothole funding
- Campaigning for fuel price transparency, which helped lead to the Government’s Fuel Finder Scheme being integrated into the AA App
- Leading award-winning campaigns highlighting the dangers of smart motorways, helping secure funding for additional emergency areas
