Renewing your policy
Receiving your renewal invite
We send your renewal invite around 28 days before your renewal date.
If you've opted to receive your renewal documents by email, they should arrive on the same day your invite is sent. Remember to check your junk folder too.
Documents sent by post can take 5 to 7 days to reach you.
Haven't received your invite?
Chat to us to make sure it's on its way.
Renewing online
We're rolling it out to customers in stages, and your renewal invite will confirm if you can renew online.
To renew and pay online, log in to your account with the email address and password you used to create your account, and have your policy documents to hand. Before you begin, check the cover still meets your needs and your personal details are correct.
You can renew online from the day you receive your renewal invite until your cover expires.
Create an account here if you haven't already.
Trouble logging in?
Find solutions here or chat to us if you can't log in to your account.
Need to make a change?
You won't be able to renew online if you need to make a change to your policy or personal details. Call us and we'll be happy to help.
If you call to make a change to your policy but aren't ready to renew on the call, you can still renew online later – for the revised price confirmed on the phone. To see the new quote, you'll need to refresh the page or log in again.
Confirmation of your renewal
When you've renewed your policy, you'll receive email confirmation within 24 hours, or if you chose to have your documents sent by post, they should arrive within 5 to 7 days.
If you still haven't received an email or your documents in the post, chat to us or call us to check your policy is active.
Opt in to automatic renewal
Automatic renewal gives you reassurance that you'll never be left without cover. You can opt in to automatic renewal any time.
Even if your cover is set up to renew automatically, you’ll still have plenty of time to contact us to make a change before it renews.
To choose automatic renewal, chat to us or call us.
Opt out of automatic renewal
You can also opt out of automatic renewal any time after purchase.
Either fill in our opt out of automatic renewal form, chat to us or call us.
If you have a Silver, Gold or Platinum policy, log in to your account and follow the link to 'Manage, view and renew' to opt out.
We'll still send you a renewal invitation when your policy is due to expire, but it won’t renew automatically.
If you have a mortgage, your lender may require you to have buildings insurance in place to cover the cost of repairing or rebuilding your home.
If you’re thinking of ending your cover at renewal, then give us a call.
If you pay by monthly instalments, your final payment is normally due around the time of your renewal date. If you cancel your Direct Debit before your last payment has been collected, it could impact your cover. Call our instalments team on 0344 871 0096 and we’ll be happy to help.
The underwriter of your home insurance policy will be provided from our panel of insurers.
