What discounts do you get with AA membership?
The range of discounts and offers available to customers with AA Breakdown Cover is known as Member benefits.
Discounts fall into different categories, including restaurants, days out, car care, travel and our products to help you find the best offers for you, so you’re good to go.
There are also regular prize draws, exclusive to Members, which you can enter to win unique experiences.
How can I get Member benefits?
The quickest and easiest way to find benefits near you, at home or on the go, is through our app (available on the App Store or Google Play), which also lets you report a breakdown and keep track of your vehicle with reminders for MOT and car tax.
You'll need to be a Member with active Breakdown Cover with us to get Member benefits.
To find out if you're eligible for any sort of membership benefits or check your Member details on our website, make sure you’ve created an account and are logged in. You can read more about how on our help page for your account.
Then just head straight to the Member benefits page to find out more about specific discounts, perks or offers.
Once you've chosen a benefit to find out more about you'll see details of how to claim your discount, and - depending on which benefit you're looking at - a yellow button to book tickets or get voucher codes (which you can download to your device or print off).
Where can I get money off with my AA membership card?
For some benefits you only need to show your AA membership card, or the digital version stored in our app, when you visit our partners across the UK to qualify for discount.
Plus, there’s more discounts available overseas, through our fellow breakdown organisations, including the American Automobile Association (AAA), ARC Europe Group and the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA).
Who is eligible for Member benefits?
Policyholders of Breakdown Cover products, including personal and vehicle-based policies, get Member benefits along with the other extras of being an AA Member.
Joint policyholders and those named on family cover are also eligible, but will need the membership details of the policy handy, as well as other details including postcode and date of birth, to able to create an account and access benefits on either our app or our website.
What about insurance customers?
At the moment Member benefits are only available for customers who have Breakdown Cover with us, and so aren’t available for customers who only have insurance policies or other products.
How can I use the app to get benefits?
You can access Member benefits easily on the go using our app. You'll be able to save your favourites for next time, as well as seeing your nearest offers, wherever you are.
You can even report a breakdown - just tap the app and help's on the way, and you can track the mechanic right to your side.
Are there any restrictions or exclusions to Member benefits?
- All offers are subject to availability and can't be used retrospectively, or with any other promotional offer or discount.
- All offers are valid until further notice. We may withdraw or change the Ts&Cs, the offers themselves, or any part of any offer, at any time without notice.
- All information is correct at time of publication.
- Member benefits can only be accessed digitally through our website or the AA app.
- Member benefits are personal and can't be used for business purposes.
What are the benefits of Silver and Gold membership?
When you renew your AA membership after a year you become a Silver Member and get access to other benefits and services, including 24 hours of free European Breakdown Cover up to three times a year.
Once you have been a Member for 5 years you become a Gold Member and get access to all of the benefits available. This includes free cover for up to 3 under 17s in your household and support from specialist services such as legal advice.
