Terms and conditions for travel services

Traffic and Travel terms and conditions

Take some time to read this page before using our travel services, including Route Planner and Maps ('the Services') on the AA website or AA Apps.

By using any of the Services you accept these terms and conditions and the website terms and conditions. If there are any conflicts between these terms and conditions and the website terms and conditions, then the terms and conditions below will apply. The Services are provided by Automobile Association Developments Limited, registered office Fanum House, Basing View, Basingstoke RG21 4EA (registered in England and Wales with company number 1878835) ('we/us/the AA').

We may change these terms and conditions in the future, so make sure you check them when you next use the Services.

They were last updated in September 2020.

Using the Services

Always stop your vehicle, and make sure it’s parked legally and safely while using the Services on your mobile phone. Don’t use AA routes in a way that affects the control of your vehicle, or puts yourself or others in danger. Take note of, and where relevant obey, any signs or warnings along the way.

If you’re using the Services while driving, always use a hands-free device.

There’s no representation made, or guarantee given, for the content or usability of the directions or Services provided. Route(s) provided are designed as a guide to help you get to your destination easily and may be the easiest, but not necessarily the quickest, route(s) and will be based on average off-peak driving conditions (unless the 'Leave now' option is available and has been selected). TheAA.com, AA app and their suppliers assume no responsibility for any loss or delay caused by using these directions or Services.

Accuracy

While the AA has taken care to give accurate information in the Services, they are provided on an 'as is' basis. As much as is allowed by law, the AA or its licensors or suppliers don't accept any liability due to inaccuracies, omissions or delays in the information or transmission of messages.

Use of personal information

The AA privacy notice applies to the use of the Services. Take time to read the AA privacy notice and cookie policy.

Any commercial or business use of the Services or data contained within them is strictly prohibited unless agreed and licensed by the AA. We may, at our discretion, withdraw all or any part of the Services at any time and without prior notice. We shall be under no liability to you whatsoever, in the event that the Services are withdrawn.

The Services are provided on an 'as is' basis. The AA, or its licensors or suppliers, don’t make any warranty or representation of any kind whether express or implied including any implied warranties as to satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.

In no event will the AA be liable whether in contract or tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty or otherwise), for any losses sustained and arising out of or in connection with the use of the Services, including loss of profits, loss of data, economic loss, loss of business and loss of goodwill (in all these cases, whether direct or indirect) nor any indirect or consequential or special loss or damage.
