Spot the Van free prize draw 2025 terms and conditions

1. The prize: 1.1 These terms and conditions apply to the Jurassic World: Rebirth Spot the Van free prize draw.; 1.2 The AA will give away 4 individual prizes to be won by photographing one of our 4 special Jurassic World themed AA vans, and entering the free prize draw as set out in 3.1 below.; 1.3 The prize is one of 4 Jurassic World: Rebirth merchandise bags, which include: 1 x adult T-shirt; 1 x sticker sheet; 1 x slap bracelet; 1 x ice mold; 1 x baseball cap. The winners will be selected at random.; 1.4 All entries must be submitted via the AA social media post on Facebook set out in 3.1 below. The prize is subject to availability.
2. The promoter: 2.1 The promoter of the free prize draw is Automobile Association Developments Limited of Level 3, Plant, Basing View, Basingstoke, Hampshire RG21 4HG ('The AA').
3. How to participate in the free prize draw: 3.1 To enter this free prize draw, please go to www.facebook.com/TheAAUK and post the photograph under the 'Jurassic World: Rebirth Spot the Van' competition launch post with the hashtag #SpotTheVan.; 3.2 You'll need a personal Facebook account and internet access to enter.; 3.3 The AA's decision as to the acceptability of all entries is final. Any comments posted without the #SpotTheVan, on the relevant post on Facebook, or on social media posts which don't relate to the free prize draw, won't be counted as valid entries.; 3.4 Each individual may only enter this free prize draw once across all social media channels relevant to the free prize draw. Any duplicate entries will be disregarded.; 3.5 No purchase or payment is necessary to enter the free prize draw or to win.; 3.6 Photographs of recovery trucks or classic yellow AA vans (without the Jurassic World: Rebirth theme) are not eligible for the free prize draw.; 3.7 By entering this free prize draw, you accept these terms and conditions.
4. Safety: 4.1 You'll see our AA vans in many places, such as parked up, on the way to a breakdown, fixing a vehicle at the roadside, in a car park or on the hard shoulder of a motorway.; 4.2 Wherever you see an AA van, it's important not to put yourself or other road users in danger if you're going to take a picture.; 4.3 On the move:; 4.3.1. If you're a passenger then photographing one of our AA vans is fine, BUT never if you're driving.; 4.3.2. If you pass an AA Van at a breakdown on the roadside or hard shoulder, don't pull in and stop nearby just to take a picture. Our AA vans will be close to fast moving traffic, in a hazardous location and parked to protect the breakdown scene.; 4.3.3. In quiet streets or car parks, pull in and stop only if it's legal and safe to do so, but don't stop suddenly – always consider other road users.; 4.4. On foot:; 4.4.1. If you're on foot, then photographing one of our AA vans is likely to be easier and safer, but you'll still need to be aware of traffic and others around you.; 4.4.2. Stay on the pavement or marked footways, well out of the way of moving traffic.; 4.4.3. Be aware of what's behind and around you – it's all too easy to step backwards off the kerb as you frame your snap.; 4.5 Photographers will need to be sensitive if the van is parked or working on a private driveway, and bear in mind that some people don't like having their photograph taken. You must obtain the consent of any individuals you have pictured in your photograph.; 4.6 If we determine that any photograph was taken in an unsafe or unlawful manner, then we reserve the right to exclude that entry from the free prize draw.
5. Free prize draw start date: 5.1 The free prize draw starts at 09:00 GMT on 2 July 2025.
6. Free prize draw end date: 6.1 The free prize draw ends at 23:59 on 30 July 2025. Entries received after this time won't be counted.
7. Eligibility: 7.1 The free prize draw is only open to residents of the UK who are aged 18 or over.; 7.2 The following individuals aren't eligible to enter or win this free prize draw:; 7.2.1. employees of The AA or its holding subsidiary companies;; 7.2.2 employees of agents or suppliers of The AA or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration, and;; 7.2.3 members of the immediate families of the individuals identified in 7.2.1 and 7.2.2.; 7.3 By entering the free prize draw you confirm that you are eligible to do so, and eligible to claim the prize or any prize you may win. The AA may require you to provide proof.; 7.4 Entries not in accordance with these terms and conditions won't be counted and will be excluded.; 7.5 The AA's decision as to the acceptability of all entries is final. Entries which are received after the end date, incomplete, misspelled, incomprehensible, or are otherwise not in accordance with the instructions given by The AA won't be entered into the free prize draw.; 7.6 The AA accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed or submitted due to a technical fault of any kind (such as a technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure). Where applicable, The AA accepts no responsibility for any entries which aren't completed for any reason.
8. Selection of the winner: 8.1 The winners will be selected at random from all the eligible entries received.; 8.2 The selection will be done by an automated process, or a process that will be conducted or supervised by an independent person.; 8.3 The winners will be notified by a comment response to their original comment on The AA's relevant social media post that was used to enter the competition, by 13 August 2025. To claim the prize, each winner will be asked to provide their name, email address, postal address and phone number by no later than 23:59 on 27 August 2025, to enable The AA to verify their eligibility in accordance with clause 7.; 8.4 The prize can't be claimed by a third party on your behalf.; 8.5 The AA accepts no responsibility if you're not able to claim the prize.; 8.6 The prize will be sent to each winner via post following the provision of the details required in accordance with clause 8.3 above. If a winner hasn't received the prize by 23:59 on 10 September 2025, please contact The AA through The AA's social media channels.; 8.7 The prize is awarded conditionally upon acceptance, and if a winner doesn't provide the requested details by 23:59 on 27 August 2025 in accordance with clause 8.3 above, the winner's prize shall be deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted, and a supplementary winner may be drawn at The AA's sole discretion.; 8.8 The AA retains the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or higher value in the event the original prize offered isn't available, or circumstances beyond The AA's control make it necessary to do so.; 8.9 The prize isn't negotiable, exchangeable or transferable for any other product or service or a cash alternative, and isn't available for resale.; 8.10 The decision of The AA is final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
9. Limitation of liability: 9.1 In so far as is permitted by law, The AA, its agent or distributors won't in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner, or accept liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize, except where it is caused by the negligence of The AA, its agents or distributors, or that of their employees. Your statutory rights aren't affected.; 9.2 Under no circumstances will The AA's aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these terms and conditions, and/or the free prize draw, which don't fall within clause 9.1 above exceed £70.00.
10. Data protection and publicity: 10.1 The winner may be asked to take part in future publicity.; 10.2 The AA will use your personal data for the purpose of the management of the free prize draw, including to assess your eligibility for the free prize draw and to administer the competition. Please see The AA privacy notice for more information.; 10.3 The AA must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. We are required to make the forename, surname and the country of the winner available upon request.; 10.4 If you object to any or all of your surname, country and winning entry being published or made available, please contact The AA, or through The AA's social media channels. In such circumstance, The AA must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
11. General: 11.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, The AA may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the free prize draw.; 11.2 You understand that this free prize draw promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook or Instagram, and you hereby provide a complete release to Facebook and Instagram of any responsibility for this free prize draw.; 11.3 The AA reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel or amend the free prize draw where it has become necessary to do so for any reason.; 11.4 These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and The AA, and supersedes and extinguishes all previous agreements, promises, assurances, warranties, representations and understandings between us, whether written or oral, relating to its subject matter.; 11.5 These terms and conditions (and any issues or disputes arising) shall be governed by English Law, and The AA and entrants to the free prize draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
