Up on the hill above Broadway, that epitome of Cotswold charm, Dormy House is a delightfully cosy 17th-century former farmhouse, all golden stone, beams and panelling. The airy modern dining room enjoys fab garden views, and you can expect nicely constructed, thoughtful dishes from the modern British menu. Dinner might begin with lobster ravioli, Cornish crab, tomato and sea vegetables, or Tamworth pig with sage and onion, Bramley apple and crackling, before taking in squab pigeon with kohlrabi, cavolo nero and quince, or an onion tarte Tatin. Duck egg custard with Yorkshire rhubarb, oats and yogurt finishes things off nicely.
