This former inn dating from the 19th century has had a new lease of life under the auspices of regional big-hitter Andreas Antona. Refurbishment has made the best of the original features while introducing a smart and traditional decor that is entirely in keeping with the mood of the place. The menu has its roots in classic Pan-European cooking and delivers a touch of refinement in this relaxed setting. Kick off with three-scallop ravioli with an accompanying fennel compôte and a frothy tomato sauce, before some Wiltshire pork belly with velvety mash and smoked onions, or cod with spiced brown shrimps and lentil dhal.
