This thrillingly modern structure overlooks the first purpose-built car-racing circuit in the world, opening back in 1907. There's a creative modern brasserie feel to the food, with the kitchen team keenly producing dishes that arrive dressed to thrill. Pan-fried scallops come with glazed pork belly, cauliflower purée and golden raisins, followed by pink and tender rump of lamb with Israeli couscous, smoked aubergine purée, and pomegranate seeds adding little tart explosions, or you might look to the grill for a straight-up steak - 28-day aged rib-eye, say, with the usual accompaniments. End on a tiramisù theme with a contrasting bitter chocolate sorbet.
