An idyllic honey-hued stone inn on the green of a pretty Cotswolds village, the Plough presents a quintessentially English picture. Inside, the place has the sort of stylish rustic-chic decor – all venerable beams and exposed stone walls – that you’d hope for in a foodie pub, but kids and Fido are welcome so there’s no standing on ceremony.
