Inspired by the sun-drenched cuisines of the Middle East, North Africa and the Mediterranean, owner Yotam Ottolenghi's cooking is creative stuff, bursting with punchy flavours and delivered in dishes made for sharing in an all-white brasserie-style space, or in the basement at two large communal tables with ringside seats for the open-to-view kitchen. Whichever you choose, the vibe is a chatty hubbub of people tucking into the forthright flavours of twice-cooked baby chicken with lemon myrtle salt and chilli sauce, then sea bass with spring greens and Calabrese peppers, and rich chocolate mousse with orange oil and crème fraîche to finish.
