Lyle's coolly casual warehouse good looks - think painted brick walls and pillars and low-hanging lights - have made it a 'must-go-to' outfit since it first opened. The food certainly delivers on the hype and expectation, via a daily roster that offers a selection of small and larger plates at lunch and a five-course, no-choice fixed-price menu at dinner. Prime produce and seasonality are key, including some lesser-used more gutsy cuts and innovative combinations. Take a pairing of warm beetroot, smoked eel and peppy horseradish, for instance, while lamb's hearts, broccoli leaves and anchovy has even more oomph. A stunningly light treacle tart comes with milk ice cream to cut through the sweetness
