The view from the 40th floor of the City’s Heron Tower is pretty amazing, and Duck & Waffle can sort you out for breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails, a late supper, the lot in a casual, modern space open 24/7. The food takes a broad sweep through contemporary European ideas. Small plates are the way to go (bigger plate options are available). Kick off with foie gras crème brûlée with pork crackling and marmalade brioche, and follow with the namesake dish of duck and waffle – confit duck leg with a fried duck's egg and mustard-maple syrup. End with a moreish mix of chocolate fondant with peanut butter ganache, vanilla ice cream and praline crunch.
