Open all year

This imposing building dates back over 400 years, and is featured in Charles Dickens’ first novel, The Pickwick Papers. The same home comforts that Dickens enjoyed when visiting Towcester have been updated to modern standards, and discerning customers will find excellent service in the restored pub. Dishes include slow-cooked pork belly; or a selection of meat and fish pies; plus traditional pub classics. Finish with chocolate fudge cake or a knickerbocker glory. Sandwiches, jackets, wraps and ciabattas are all available too.
