Terms and conditions
These terms and conditions apply to the “Eyes on the Road” campaign and the offer of 50 free two-hour AA Driving School refresher driving lessons to eligible drivers aged 70 and over.
1. Eligibility
This offer is open to UK residents aged 70 years or over who hold a full and valid UK driving licence and meet any applicable requirements to undertake a driving lesson with an AA Driving School instructor. Booking or attending an eye test with Boots Opticians is not a condition of eligibility for the offer
2. The offer
AA Driving School is providing 50 free two-hour refresher driving lessons, representing 100 hours of driving tuition in total. A maximum of one two-hour lesson is available per person.
3. Registration
To register for the offer, participants must complete the registration form in full and provide a valid UK address, email address and phone number. Participants must provide accurate and complete information.
Registration opens on 21 September 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on 21 October 2026. Registrations received after the closing date and time will not be considered. Only one registration per person is permitted. Duplicate registrations may be disregarded.
4. Allocation and availability
A total of 50 two-hour lessons are available and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, subject to the availability of participating AA Driving School instructors in the participant's area.
Registering for the offer does not guarantee that a lesson will be available. If AA Driving School is unable to arrange a lesson for an eligible participant because there is no suitable instructor available, AA Driving School may offer the lesson to the next eligible participant.
Once all 50 lessons have been allocated, no further lessons will be available under the offer, even if the registration period has not yet closed.
5. Eligible participants
Eligible participants who are allocated a lesson will be contacted using the contact details provided when registering and will receive information about arranging their lesson.
If AA Driving School does not receive a response from the eligible participant within the timeframe specified in the notification, AA Driving School may treat the lesson as unclaimed and offer it to another eligible participant.
6. Booking and taking your lesson
Lessons must be booked and taken within the timeframe communicated to participant when the lesson is allocated.
Lessons are subject to instructor availability and AA Driving School’s normal booking requirements. Participants must hold a full and valid UK driving licence at the time of their lesson and comply with any reasonable requirements communicated by AA Driving School or the instructor before the lesson takes place.
7. No cash alternative
The free lesson has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another person, resold or exchanged for another product or service.
8. Changes and cancellations
AA Driving School reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the offer where reasonably necessary due to circumstances outside its reasonable control. Where reasonably practicable, AA Driving School will provide notice of any such amendment, suspension or withdrawal.
If a booked lesson needs to be rearranged because an instructor is unavailable, AA Driving School will use reasonable efforts to arrange an alternative date, subject to availability.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited. Subject to this, AA Driving School will not be responsible for ay loss which is not reasonably foreseeable or which arises from circumstances outside its reasonable control.. Nothing in these terms affects participants' statutory rights.
10. Personal information
Personal information provided as part of the offer will be used by AA Driving School to administer the offer, assess eligibility, contact participants and arrange lessons. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the applicable privacy information provided when registering. Personal information provided when registering for the offer will not be shared with Boots Opticians for marketing purposes.
11. General
AA Driving School's decision regarding eligibility and the allocation of lessons is final, acting reasonably and in accordance with these terms and conditions.
The offer is personal to the eligible participant and is not transferable. No purchase is necessary to register for or receive the offer and booking or attending a Boots Opticians eye test is not required.
