Hi, I want to find the registered keepers of a vehicle matches up to the owner? How can I do this? What is the easiest way please?

How can I find out the registered keeper’s details without the registration document?
Registered keeper details will be on the V5c registration document and you should never buy a used car without seeing the V5c.
You can check vehicle details online using DVLA’s vehicle enquiry service if you know the make and registration number, but keeper details are much harder to verify if you don’t have the V5c.
As an individual you can request information about a vehicle’s registered keeper from DVLA (using form V888) if you have ‘reasonable cause’, examples of which include finding out who was responsible for an accident or tracing the owner of an abandoned vehicle.
Irrespective of whether you can confirm the registered keeper’s details or not, we’d say that if something doesn’t feel right or a deal sounds too good to be true, it’s best to walk away rather than take a chance.
