Terms and conditions

1. The Prize

1.1. These terms and conditions apply to the ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ prize draw (the ‘Prize Draw’).

1.2. You could win an adventure holiday for 4 people in this Prize Draw, which includes: (i) airfare (roundtrip flights from London, UK to Toronto, Canada); (ii) return transfers in Toronto between the airport and accommodation; (iii) accommodation: 3 nights’ luxury 4-star hotel, based on sharing a quadruple occupancy room, or two double occupancy rooms with breakfast; (iv) a private indoor parkour class (1 hour) which includes instruction; (v) virtual reality experience (1 hour); (vi) private indoor climbing class (1 hour): includes professional instructor, climbing shoes and harness and (vii) skyscraper adventure at the world's highest full circle hands-free walk (allow up to 1 hour 30 minutes for this activity) includes safety equipment, certificate of achievement, video, two printed photos per person and admission to rest of the tower, including access to observation platform; (viii) dinner at a top restaurant: provided to the value of $125 CAD per person including tax and gratuity; and (ix) travel insurance allowance of £35 per person (the ‘Prize’).

1.3. Only one Prize is available in total, and is subject at all times to availability.

1.4. The Prize is valid for 12 months from the date of notification of winning, and all travel must be completed within that time.

2. Prize terms and conditions

2.1. The prize provider is Element London Ltd (the ‘Prize Provider’). Any personal data submitted by the winner to the Prize Provider will be treated in accordance with Prize Provider’s Privacy Policy.

2.2. The Prize is for 4 people (the ‘Recipients’). At least one Recipient must be aged 21 or over. Anyone under 18 will require parent or guardian permission prior to travel.

2.3. The Recipients must travel at the same time with the same itinerary.

2.4. Economy roundtrip flights from London (inclusive of all applicable airport taxes, fees, and duties) to Toronto, Canada. Flights may be indirect and not all routings will be available. Flight itinerary will be selected by the Prize Provider at their sole discretion.

2.5. Travel arrangements, including costs relating to public transport, fuel or parking, to and from the Prize Winner or companion/s’ home and departure airport do not form part of the Prize and are the responsibility of the Prize Winner and their travelling companion(s).

2.6. A valid credit or debit card will be required for security deposit purposes when checking into accommodation. The Prize Winner will be liable for any damage caused during the stay.

2.7. Accommodation based on 4 people, 3 nights’ luxury (4-star) hotel accommodation in Toronto, based on sharing a quadruple occupancy room, or two double occupancy rooms, depending on the package, with breakfast, and is subject at all times to the terms of occupancy and use, which will be provided by the accommodation partner.

2.8. Accommodation will be selected by the Prize Provider at their sole discretion.

2.9. Accommodation for the Recipients does not include any meals, incidentals, gratuities, or telephone calls. Any other personal expenses incurred during the trip will be the responsibility of the Recipients.

2.10. The Prize excludes meals and drinks, excursions, attractions, treatments, visas, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the Prize package.

2.11. All elements of the Prize are subject to availability. If unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and value may be offered at Prize Provider’s discretion.

2.12. Prize Winner must contact Prize Provider with three preferred travel dates in three separate months no later than six weeks prior to departure.

2.13. Travel insurance allowance is provided to the value of £35 per person. Winners are responsible for arranging their own travel insurance policy, and for ensuring that this includes insurance cover for the correct destination and for any applicable activities which they will be undertaking while away. The Prize Provider reserves the right to request proof of valid travel insurance prior to travel.

2.14. All elements of the Prize must be taken at the same time. The Prize cannot be taken from 21 December to 4 January (Christmas and New Year), over UK public holidays, or over Easter Sunday.

2.15. Once booked, the Prize cannot be amended or cancelled.

2.16. The Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable. No cash alternative is available.

2.17. All travellers will require a passport valid for at least six months on date of travel. Any necessary visas or additional insurance are the responsibility of the Prize Winner and guests.

2.18. The Prize is valid for 12 months from the date of notification of winning, and all travel must be completed within that time.

2.19. The following specific requirements apply to the activities included in the Prize:

2.19.1. The parkour class will be tailored to the participants’ ability and participants need to be in good physical health;

2.19.2. For the virtual reality experience, children under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, and it is not recommended for those who are pregnant or those with heart conditions;

2.19.3. For the climbing experience, children under 14 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, and it is not recommended for those who are pregnant or those with neck, back or heart conditions; and

2.19.4. For the skyscraper adventure, the minimum age is 13 years old, the minimum weight is 75 lbs/34 kg and the maximum weight is 310 lbs/140 kg. This activity is not suitable for pregnant travellers, those with heart conditions, those with disabilities that may interfere with their safety, those with vertigo, motion sickness, or those with any physical, mental, or psychological ailments, disorders, or diseases that would inhibit their ability to participate in or could be aggravated by this experience.

3. Promoter's name and address

3.1. The promoter of the Prize Draw is Automobile Association Development Limited of Plant, Level Three, Basing View, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG21 4HG (the ‘AA’).

4. How to participate in the Prize Draw

4.1. You will be entered into our Prize Draw when you take out a new AA breakdown membership policy with at least one other required product and the main account holder will automatically be entered into the Prize Draw.

4.2. You must be a new AA breakdown member (and not an existing or renewing AA member).

4.3. You must purchase at least one other product (At Home, National Recovery or Onward Travel) in addition to Roadside Assistance. You will not be entered into the Prize Draw if only Roadside Assistance is purchased, or Parts & Garage Cover, Key Cover, Commercial Use, or Tyre Cover.

4.4. You may only enter this Prize Draw a maximum of one time.

4.5. By entering this Prize Draw, you accept these terms and conditions. To opt out of the Prize Draw, the main account holder must email [email protected] with the subject line, ‘Opt out of Spider-Man Prize Draw’ and include within this email the main account holder’s name as it appears on the breakdown policy and membership number.

5. Applicable dates

5.1. This free Prize Draw will start at 00:01 on 1 July 2026 and, subject to Clause 10.2, the closing date and time for the free Prize Draw will be at 23:59 on 15 July 2026.

6. Eligibility

6.1. The Prize Draw is only open to residents of the UK who are aged 17 and over who remain active AA members when the Prize Winner is selected (and must comply with the requirements specified in Clause 2.2).

6.2. The Prize Winner must have an active AA membership 30 days after the purchase of the eligible products identified in Clause 4.3 of these terms.

6.3. The following are not eligible to enter or win this Prize Draw:

6.3.1. employees of The AA or its holding or subsidiary companies;

6.3.2. employees of agents or suppliers of The AA or its holding companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration;

6.3.3. members of the immediate families of those identified in 6.3.1 and 6.3.2 above; and

6.3.4. policies purchased via a patrol introduction, AA Warranties, AA Loans, AA Driving School or via an AA partner.

6.4. The AA's decision as to the acceptability of all entries is final. Entries which are (as applicable): received after the closing date and time, incomplete or are otherwise not in accordance with these terms and conditions and/ or the instructions given by The AA, will not be counted and will be excluded.

6.5. The AA accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed or submitted due to a technical fault (such as a technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure) of any kind and/or where applicable. If for any reason a technical interruption, fault or site failure occurs when purchasing online, The AA does not take any responsibility for incomplete purchases and any incomplete purchases will not be considered valid for entry into the Prize Draw. Where applicable, The AA accepts no responsibility for any purchases which are not completed for any reason.

7. Selection of the Prize Winner

7.1. The Prize Winner will be selected at random from all the eligible entries received. This will be done by an automated process or a process which will be conducted or supervised by an independent person.

7.2. The Prize Winner will be notified by phone by a representative of the AA and this will be followed up on by email (using the contact details of the main account holder linked to the eligible AA breakdown membership) by no later than 31 August 2026 to inform them of their Prize.

7.3. The Prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf. The AA does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to claim the Prize.

7.4. The Prize is awarded conditionally upon acceptance and if a Prize Winner is unable to be contacted after 10 days of The AA attempting to notify the winner under Clause 7.2 above, or if the Prize is unclaimed / declined within 10 days after being notified under Clause 7.2 above, or the Prize Winner is unable to comply with the eligibility requirements set out in these terms, the Prize shall be deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted and a supplementary winner may be drawn at The AA’s discretion.

7.5. Following the notification of the Prize Winner in accordance with Clause 7.2 of these terms, the Prize Winner’s name and contact details will be provided to the Prize Provider. The Prize Provider will then contact the Prize Winner to confirm their preferred travel dates and arrange an itinerary for the Prize. As set out in Clauses 1 and 2 above, the Prize Winner must provide the Prize Provider with three preferred travel dates in three separate months no later than six weeks prior to departure and all travel as part of the Prize must be booked in and completed within 12 months from the date of notification of winning.

7.6. The Prize is not negotiable, exchangeable or transferable for any other product, service or a cash alternative.

7.7. The Prize is not valid in conjunction with any other offer or discount or through a third party.

7.8. The decision of The AA is final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.

8. Limitation of liability

8.1. In so far as is permitted by law, The AA, its agent or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

8.2. Under no circumstances will The AA’s aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising under these terms and conditions and/or the Prize Draw which do not fall within Clause 8.1 above exceed £200.00.

9. Data protection and publicity

9.1. The Prize Winner may be asked to take part in future publicity.

9.2. The AA and the Prize Provider will use your personal data for the purpose of the management of the Prize Draw and the provision of the Prize, including to assess your eligibility for the Prize Draw and to administer the competition. 9.3. The AA must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. We are required to make the forename, surname and the country of the winner available upon request.

9.4. If you object to any or all of your surname, country and winning entry being published or made available, please contact The AA at [email protected]. In such circumstances, The AA must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

10. General

10.1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, The AA may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Prize Draw.

10.2. The AA reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel or amend the Prize Draw where it has become necessary to do so for any reason.

10.3. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and The AA and supersedes and extinguishes all previous agreements, promises, assurances, warranties, representations and understandings between us, whether written or oral, relating to its subject matter.

10.4. These terms and conditions (and any issues or disputes arising) shall be governed by English Law, and The AA and entrants to the Prize Draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
