This delightful Georgian property has a panoramic view across the Severn Valley from its position high up on a wooded hillside. The aptly named Outlook Restaurant makes the best of its situation (get a window table if you can) while the kitchen's rather refined classically inspired output is a distraction in itself. A first-course crab verrine delivers good depth of flavour and looks pretty on the plate, while main-course pork belly pressé is partnered with pulled ham croquettes and glazed apples. A fishy main course might be herb-crusted cod with caviar and clam chowed, and, to finish, mango pannacotta comes with a zingy passionfruit and mango compôte.
