As well as the main dining room, Mallory Court boasts a more contemporary-looking brasserie a short stroll from the main house. No mere adjunct to the main action, this is a fine venue in its own right, with clean, art deco-style lines, glass-topped wicker tables, soothing neutral decor, and a backdrop of gentle jazz. Dishes are given careful consideration, so that skilful technique produces crispy chicken and rabbit croquette with lovage mayonnaise, followed by pan-roasted cod with cocoa beans, chorizo, and brown butter and thyme chicken jus. For dessert, there's spiced carrot cake with yogurt ice and vanilla yogurt mousse.
