A number of moorings are available on the River Thames, but even those who come by more regular means can enjoy the location as the lawn rolls down to the water's edge. This charming old inn has a smart country finish, with flagstone floors, beams, log burners, and country prints. The kitchen uses the region's best produce to deliver sharp, modern fare such as sweet-and-sour mackerel with beetroot and crème fraîche, or citrus-cured trout with coral mayonnaise. Next up, loin of venison is full of flavour, served with Puy lentils, and steaks, pork chop and trout are cooked on the grill.
