With its setting just off Berkeley Square, effortlessly classy good looks and slickly professional service, Bellamy's epitomises the chic, timeless French brasserie genre. Leather banquettes, pale yellow walls (lined with tasteful French posters and mirrors), white linen and staff in bow ties and waistcoats add to the authentic look. The kitchen excels in simple, ungimmicky, clear-flavoured dishes, so start with rich duck rillettes, followed by red mullet fillets casseroled in a tomato, cumin and tamarind sauce, and finish with a classic crème brûlée. Fabulous all-French wines and an interconnecting afternoon oyster bar and a chic evening cocktail bar complete the experience.
