Just 20 minutes from the M5, The Baiting House is set in the beautiful Teme Valley countryside and a popular stop for walkers. Refurbished by new owners, the property still has a traditional country pub feel but it is also thoroughly modern feel. Decorated in rich reds, creams and greys, the dining room is a refined setting for the food, which deals with pub classics and more inventive dishes. Start with pan-roasted scallops, samphire, leek, lemon mayonnaise and smoked haddock sauce before moving on to 8oz rump steak, mushroom ketchup, roast onion, red wine sauce and triple-cooked chips. Baked lemon tart and raspberry sorbet rounds things off nicely.
