Rural village pub with lovely gardens

At a glance

Bar menu
Open all year

This gem of a pub was once a stop on what was then the Bristol to Exeter coach road. A good selection of real ales is served straight from the cask in the two flagstone-floored bars, where open fires blaze on cold days. The freshly prepared bar lunches include sandwiches, soups, salads and ploughman’s, all made from the best local ingredients. In fact the beef comes straight from the fields that can be seen from the pub’s windows. You can enjoy a meal in the beautiful gardens in warmer weather, perhaps beef casserole; chilli; or cauliflower cheese.
