A thriving community local, The Dabbling Duck is a cracking place, set on Great Massingham’s glorious green. The cosy bar, with its comfy leather sofas and wood-burner, is the ideal place for bar snacks and a pint – maybe Adnams Ghost Ship – or a gin from the gin list. Head through to a scrubbed wooden table in the relaxed, informal library for classics like Cromer crab, fish and chips, and burgers, or maybe start with fried pigeon with vanilla pickled carrots and follow that with Goan curry, coconut rice, flatbread and mango chutney. Four-legged companions are welcome – they even have their own menu.
