Just a few miles from the Welsh border, The Temple Bar Inn is a popular pit-stop for walkers and cyclists exploring the Black Mountains and Herefordshire Trail. Painstakingly restored by the Jinman family, this handsome building was first licensed in the 1850s but it had also been a court house, corn exchange, school room and stable. It is now very much the hub of the community, with locals popping in for pints of Wye Valley ales or foodies enjoying well-executed classics from weekly changing bar and restaurant menus.
