It’s no wonder that ale and cider aficionados flock to this traditional village local; it dispenses eight ciders, and ten cask ales including choices from the Ashover Brewery behind the pub. The March and October beer festivals see these numbers multiply. There’s live music here twice a week, quizzes, special events and Sunday night curries. Hearty home-cooked pub dishes range from chicken, bacon and BBQ melt to trio of local sausages with creamed potatoes, red onion gravy and seasonal veg. Walk it all off in the scenic Derbyshire countryside.
