AA is number one for both personal and car manufacturer-branded breakdown cover

The AA has been ranked the best breakdown provider in the latest issue (September 2011) of Which? magazine.

The authoritative consumer group asked 7,366 drivers to rate the service they received following a roadside rescue scoring it on waiting time, roadside repair and customer rating. The AA came first, securing ‘Which? Recommended Provider’ status, which replaces the ‘Best Buy’ recommendation that the AA has received for the last five years.

With the nights drawing in, breakdown cover offers good value peace of mind, as arranging one-off emergency assistance from a garage costs up to six times that of annual roadside assistance.

The AA also came top for car manufacturer-branded cover that comes with new vehicles with AA-supplied Hondacare Assistance and Club Toyota occupying the top two places.
