Cold move drivers get some red hot training
Leading UK cold storage and distribution company Cold Move is putting all twenty of its drivers through mandatory Driver CPC training with AA DriveTech, the specialist driver training arm of the AA that formed a partnership with the Food Storage and Distribution Federation [FSDF] earlier this year.
“Cold Move is totally committed to employee development and the Driver CPC Training programme that has been developed by AA DriveTech will only further improve the performance and safety of our participating employees,” says Operations Director Mike Lythgoe. “We can see why the FSDF elected to have AA DriveTech as a partner. They have gone out of their way to provide the courses we want and on the days and in the locations we want them, creating the minimum disruption to our business.”
Cold Move employees will be experiencing two of the courses specifically developed for FSDF members – The Food Quality Management Workshop and The On-Vehicle Equipment Workshop – as well as six of AA DriveTech’s core Driver CPC courses
We’re delighted to get our first FSDF client on board. We’ve developed a suite of specialist Driver CPC courses for the Food Distribution sector, which we hope will become the benchmark for this industry
Jason Vallint, Business Development Director at AA
All the courses will be delivered at Cold Move’s Warrington depot over weekends between August 2011 and May 2013.
